I bought Little Dragons Cafe on Switch when it first came out on August 24th, 2018 and I had a blast streaming it on launch day. I then got sidetracked and didn’t play it again until recently.
I started the game over and I had fun for the first day or two but then it got very repetitive. Every day was the same thing. Wake up, see if there’s an event, then go out and gather a bunch of ingredients, come back and help the guys serve food, go to bed, rinse and repeat. This is basically the whole game. The story was enjoyable in the beginning but then it fell into the same repetitive mold. Someone comes with a problem, you give them the meal they want, they’re happy and go home. As time went on I found myself skipping days just to get to the next event so I can get to the end of the game.
The artwork in the game is adorable and some of the conversations were amusing but that’s about it. The game lagged a lot as you ran around outside and the loading times were a bit long. I really wanted more out of this game.
